mujeres-unidasWe wish you all a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year, many of you will receive gifts which will both delight and bring pleasure, at the same time these gifts remind you that friends and family through their generosity really care for you.

Last year Avantless only gave one gift, not because we are mean spirited but, as we have been blessed with a great deal more than most people, the wish is to ensure that others less fortunate are able to benefit from this season of giving and receiving.

Christmas 2011 Avantless via KIVA, an international non profit micro lender and through their good offices we were able to loan a sum of money to Esmilce, a 29 year old mother of two from Villarica in Paraguay, who had set up in the local market a butchery business. This on line initiative allowed us to recruit others to also lend a small amount of money to assist this woman in her business aspirations with a loan of $775. Last month Esmilce repaid in full her loan to us and the rest of the lenders, her small business is now flourishing.

Christmas 2012 Avantless will support the Mujeres Unidas, a group of eleven Nicaraguan single mothers with 20 children in their care who are setting up a small grocery shop in order to support their families. Money loaned to initiatives such as these is small, and all will have been vetted by KIVA ensuring credibility and money is not wasted.

Avantless in supporting and nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit, wishes friends and colleagues already blessed with the tools to succeed in their lives, to join us in helping at a grass roots level these single mothers.

Please join us and become a Christmas Micro Lender. Click here to lend a gift that keeps on giving.

Thank you
